Demi is now 11 years old and has been with Kate as a foster failure for 9.5 years. Demeter was part of an abuse/neglect case with her littermate, who sadly, did not survive. Demi sustained severe head trauma, fractured teeth, bodily burns, and starvation. It took over a year for Demi's wounds to finally heal and resolve.
